Many different industries utilize the Trackwell Fleet system to manage their fleet operations. The Trackwell Fleet system is very scalable, highly configurable, economically feasible, and easy to use.
The basic system starts with the Trackwell Fleet configuration which includes the Mobile Application Controller (MAC-3000) onboard computer, an Internet based office connection and a low cost GPRS cellular communications connection. Included are: GPS vehicle position capture and reporting every five minutes; J1708 engine bus connection; Automatic State Fuel Tax Reporting of miles; and breadcrumb trail historical records for each vehicle’s speed, location with time.
Adding Trackwell Messenger , the MDT-3000 mobile display terminal, to the basic system, brings a whole host of operational applications to the system. These features include; two-way messages, automated DOT logs, customized forms, route tracking, driver fuel entry and maintenance recording to name a few.
When Trackwell Sky is added to Trackwell Fleet, you have complete satellite communications coverage with the ever-present Inmarsat GEO satellite coverage. GEO satellites orbit with the earth’s rotation, providing GEO stationary coverage for continuous communications coverage*, unlike LEO satellites that orbit out of sync with the earth’s rotation leaving uncovered coverage gaps.
Fleet managers login to their account with their standard Internet Explorer browser from any computer that is connected to the Internet. They have safe and secure access to information without having to load complicated or expensive software on their computers. Also available are interfaces to other systems such as dispatch, navigation, outside email systems, routing, payroll and much more.
* All satellite coverage requires line-of-site view between antenna and satellite. Coverage can be blocked by tunnels, tall buildings etc.
