The Trackwell Fleet unit connects to the vehicle’s ECM (if available) or just to the vehicle’s power. The cellular/GPS antenna mounts either inside or outside of the cab, and you are ready to start tracking your vehicles.

The GPS part of the antenna receives location information from the GPS Satellites, and all the information is passed through the GPRS cellular network to our Network Operations Center (NOC).

Just add the satellite modem, Trackwell Sky, if your needs are for real-time communications when out of cellular coverage. With the GEO satellite, you are never waiting for a satellite to come into view. The GEO satellites are always in view as their orbit rotates with the earth, making them stationary in relationship to the ground.

Trackwell Messenger™

Add a color display to your Trackwell Fleet unit and you immediately have the ability to communicate with your driver.

You can even automate your DOT logs, implement customized macro forms, track your routes and much more. All without replacing any of your original investment.

Trackwell Fleet gives drivers an easy way to automate all their paper work: From the typical VMR (Vehicle Maintenance Report) to your company’s own special forms. The driver can enter fuel tickets with this information, which is then passed through to the fuel tax reports.

The easy to use e-mail system lets the driver communicate with you, receive route/load information and even send one-touch messages with standard or customized speed keys.
The driver’s Trackwell Messenger connects to your Trackwell Fleet unit with one simple cable. No complicated programming or special talent required. Just plug & play.

Start communicating with your drivers for a small monthly fee. All your messages are included in the monthly fee.

Give your drivers the security of being in contact with the office.

If you like, you can even have your messages directed to other email addresses.

The display is easily unhooked from the fixed mounting bracket for out-of cab needs such as roadside DOT Log inspections.

The display can be connected with a phone type coil cord for extra extension. Direct wired connections means never having issues with your display communicating with the onboard computer. The system is secure, which eliminates hacking into the system from outside sources through a wireless connection.

Simply add Trackwell Sky when you need communications wherever your vehicles are located and whenever you want.

Today’s cellular networks provide communications coverage to almost all populated areas in North America, but if your needs are for communications coverage everywhere, then you can add Trackwell Sky to your system.

You will have true Real-Time communications through the Inmarsat GEO satellite network. Inmarsat supplements the cellular network during the times your vehicles are out of cellular range, so you’re virtually never out of communications with your drivers.

Location information is sent on a regular basis. The Trackwell Fleet unit gathers all the detailed information and saves it for the time when the vehicle is back in lower cost cellular coverage.

Trackwell Sky can be added to your Trackwell Fleet system with one quick cable connection. Always protecting your original investment.
When the Trackwell Messenger solution is included, your drivers have the security of being in continuous contact with the office, even in the most remote areas. From the deserts of the southwest to the remote wilderness of the far north, your drivers are always in range.

Unlike LEO (Low Earth Orbiting) satellites that orbit the earth in a non-stationary position, Trackwell Sky communicates through the GEO (Geostationary Earth Orbiting) which is always in view of the modem.
