Trackwell ADS system helps company recover their stolen truck

The thieves thought they were smart. They managed to break into the semi tractor and start it. Seeing that it had a GPS tracking device, they cut the wire. Thinking they were home free they drove the vehicle about 14 miles and hid it.
Little did they know that Trackwell ADS was still able to locate the vehicle within a small area using an undisclosed technology.
The Trackwell ADS customer then took a team of people to the location and recovered their tractor before the thieves had a change to strip it.

Avalon Foodservice Implements Trackwell ADS System

Trackwell ADS, the U.S. subsidiary of Iceland-based TrackWell, announced today that Avalon Foodservice has implemented the Trackwell Fleet™ system in their fleet of 29 delivery vehicles. System components include Trackwell Messenger™, Trackwell Route™ and Trackwell Nav™. Based in Canal Fulton, Ohio, Avalon Foodservice is a broadline foodservice distributor and supplies all food and supply product categories to the healthcare, local independent, national and regional multi-unit restaurants, and other commercial and non-commercial customer segments throughout Ohio and bordering states.

Trackwell ADS Releases Un-tethered Trailer/Asset Tracking Solution

Trackwell ADS, the U.S. subsidiary of Iceland-based TrackWell, announced today the release of Trackwell Trailer™, a satellite-based un-tethered trailer/asset tracking product. It interfaces with Trackwell ADS’ current Trackwell Fleet™ office Internet browser and can be used as a standalone system or in combination with other Trackwell ADS products. It has a 3+ year battery life and operates with off-the-shelf user replaceable, AA batteries.

The tracking device has a small 6.5” length by 3.24” width by 1” height and is easily and inexpensively installed on any asset that companies wish to track. There are no external antennas or wires making the device difficult to detect.

The device is SAE J1455, MIL STD 810, NEMA 4X / IP68 and ROHS compliant and carries necessary certifications for US, Canada and European requirements.

Trackwell ADS Receives Expansion Funding

Trackwell ADS, the U.S. subsidiary of Iceland-based Trackwell, has announced an investment by Frumtak, an Icelandic investment fund comprised of the three major banks in Iceland and six major pension funds. This new funding will help allow Trackwell to dramatically increase its market development efforts in North America.

Trackwell ADS offers a web based service called TrackWell Mobile Resource Management (MRM) that includes a wide range of business processes that allow companies to better manage their mobile vehicle and workforce resources.

Trackwell ADS’ customers have achieved exceptional results using the TrackWell MRM system. Approximately 300 companies in many business sectors are using the service to manage over 2,000 vehicles and about 30,000 employees. To date, TrackWell products are utilized in 19 countries on five continents.

Trackwell ADS Exhibits at ATA Show

Trackwell ADS, Inc., developer of the low cost and easy to use GPS Tracking, Two-way communications, and Fleet Management Solution that combines multi-mode communications technology with web-based software, showcased its systems at the American Trucking Association’s (ATA) Management Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans, LA. The demonstrations included Automated DOT Logs, State Fuel Tax Reporting, Vehicle Maintenance Reporting, Geo-Fence Zone Monitoring, Speed Monitoring by Posted Speed Limits and more.

Increasing revenue while reducing fuel, maintenance and other costs are achieved by monitoring driver operations with asset utilization improvements is achieved with the low cost and easy to use system.

Profit Tools joined Trackwell ADS in their booth to demonstrate their Mobile Office offering, featuring document scanning with their flatbed scanning application. Documents are scanned in the field and transmitted through an interface to the Trackwell ADS system to the user’s office systems saving valuable time while increasing cash flow.
